INDIANAPOLIS – With wildfires continuing to impact air quality across North America, Carrier is stepping in with a new initiative to help homes and businesses stay safe indoors.
Smoke from wildfires contains fine particles that can worsen asthma, heart disease, and other health conditions. Carrier’s strategy includes three key recommendations: upgrade HVAC systems with high-efficiency filters, seal gaps and cracks to keep smoke out, and use portable air purifiers with HEPA filters.
“Indoor air protection is more important than ever,” said Nick Arch, Carrier’s VP of Residential Solutions. “Our technology helps families and businesses maintain clean, breathable air—even when outdoor conditions are hazardous.”
Carrier is also giving back, donating $2.5 million worth of air purifiers to Los Angeles schools and frontline workers.
